Technique: painting
Dimensions: ca. 6 m × 3 m each
Object: This work was created in 2017 as part of the 70th anniversary celebrations of Wybrzeże cooperative. The illustrations were designed on the basis of watchwords identified by the community, and developed together with them. The mural, which is composed of two parts painted on two opposite walls, features motifs of birth, creativity, garden – an oasis of peace, community and the Gdańsk coat of arms. Members of the cooperative wanted to showcase values such as multigenerationality, continuity, working together, apartments being passed from grandparents to grandchildren and housing built by people for themselves (not by the state or another institution). In the work, the artist employed her typical, synthetic style, at times verging on abstraction. The forms are simple, somewhat geometricized, the colours subdued.
Place: the mural is located on two opposite walls of a glazed entrance to a residential house on Dmowskiego Street connecting Grunwaldzka Street, Tri-City’s main communication artery, with the Wrzeszcz railway station
