Dimensions: 76 cm (height)
Object: The sculpture shows a schematic human figure in a sitting position, holding his knees. The huddled man with anonymous facial features, of an unspecified age, with no individual characteristics, may possibly express sadness, pensiveness or loneliness. This figural sculpture is smaller than life size. The form is compact, fragmentarily covered with white paint. The object was purchased by the tenement’s owners during clean-up work at the Faculty of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts. The sculpture was made by a student of said faculty, but the author’s name remains unknown to the object’s owners.
Place: The sculpture is placed on an external ledge of one of the basement windows of the building at 28 Toruńska Street, to the right from the main entrance to the staircase. It was placed at this location by the tenement’s owners in 2017.
