He was mainly involved in legal and natural sciences and wrote the first scientific paper on electrostatics. In 1742, he founded the Gda\u0144sk Natural Society. Gralath was the initiator and founder of the Linden Alley along Zwyci\u0119stwa Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>The monument is in the form of a boulder placed on a base made of field stones. It was unveiled in 1893, but the commemorative plaque is modern \u2013 it was made in 2003, because after World War II the monument was dedicated to scouts murdered by Nazi German forces.
