After graduating in painting at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Wrocław, he continued his studies at the Gdańsk university. At the same time, together with a group of students, prof. Hanna Żuławska worked in her famous studio in Kadyny and it was the Kadyny experience that most influenced the shape of Trzaska’s future ceramics. He made his debut at the collective exhibition “Kadyny” at the Kordegarda gallery in Warsaw in 1957. The success of the exhibition and the great potential of the studio were not used, however. In Kadyny, work on designing ceramics for industrial production began, but unfortunately they ended in failure. Trzaska worked individually with Cepelia, in the early 1960s he joined the Włocławek Cooperative “Przyjaźń”. The main profile of the plant’s activity before Trzaska took over the artistic management was the production of pots, within a few years he introduced many patterns of decorative and functional ceramics: platters, candlesticks, vases, etc. and Trzaska’s individual style.
